CHAMPLAIN SENIOR CENTER

The mission of the Champlain Senior Center is to support the independence and well-being of older adults, enhance their dignity and self-respect, and promote their participation in all aspects of community life. The Center provides opportunities for social and civic engagement with fellow seniors and with the greater community. A noon meal is offered as well as a wide variety of educational, art, health and wellness programs. Through activities that stimulate and feed the body, mind and spirit seniors gain a greater degree of health, dignity and self-respect that adds meaning and value to their lives.

The Champlain Senior Center welcomes and embraces individual differences as it is representative of our lives, our families and friends, our neighborhood, greater community, and the world. We believe that a diverse group of people vitalizes, enriches and strengthens our Center.

While our center is located in the state of Vermont, we also wanted to make sure to extend our services in farflung areas so as to care to a lot of people. Thus, we had helped establish one in the state of Utah - the Community Nursing Services which provide nursing, hospice & other home care services for the people there and its surrouding areas.
